How to Start a Tour
Starting your Marienplatz audio tour is simple! Follow these steps to begin your exploration.
Open the App
Launch AudioVenture from your home screen. The map view will load automatically.
Review the Map
You'll see a map of Munich's Marienplatz area with 15 numbered markers. Green markers (1-3) are free to access.
Select Your Starting Point
Tap any marker to see details about that location. We recommend starting with Stop 1 (Marienplatz) for the full experience, but you can start anywhere.
Read About the Location
Each stop includes historical information, photos, and interesting facts. Take your time to read and explore.
Play the AudioVenture
Tap "Play Audio" to start the narration. The audio will continue playing even if you navigate away or lock your screen.
Navigate to the Location
Use the map and GPS navigation to walk to the actual location. The app shows walking distance and estimated time.
Pro Tips
- • Follow the suggested route: Stops are numbered for optimal flow, but you can visit them in any order.
- • Enable location services: For GPS navigation and to see your position on the map.
- • Take your time: The full tour is about 2 hours, but there's no time limit. Pause and resume anytime.
- • Start at Marienplatz: Stop 1 is the perfect starting point and gives you context for the entire tour.
